Welcome to Owensville, MO 

Owensville is located in east central Missouri and is the business hub for several small towns that surround Owensville.  Click here for directions/map) It possesses an active business community, a strong industrial community, an excellent school system, many churches of all denominations and sizes, and varied organizations for adults and youth.  Fairs and festivals during the year provide community spirit and good times.  We are proud of the caring people who live here.  The clean neighborhoods exemplify individual and community pride.

Owensville is surrounded by hills and woods that are beautiful in every season.  Owensville offers the benefits of rural life with big city services and entertainment not far away.  We are fortunate to have two beautiful lake developments within a few minutes drive of Owensville.

The Maries County Bank was founded on August 7, 1900 and opened its doors in Vienna, MO on September 1, 1900. The Maries County Bank merged with the Community Bank of Owensville on March 31, 2003. Today, The Maries County Bank has locations in seven central Missouri towns: Vienna, Argyle, Dixon, Belle, Vichy, St. James, and Owensville.  The bank is locally and employee owned. The Owensville branch is currently managed by Kathy Schlottach with Cindy Dworek serves as the Operations Manager.


Community Bank is a full service bank that offers products for personal and business banking. Products include: Checking accounts, Savings accounts, C.D.’s, Safe Deposit Boxes, Mortgage loans, Vehicle loans, Construction loans, Commercial loans, Home Equity and Agriculture loans.  Community Bank offers it customers ATM/debit cards, direct deposits, night depository, telephone and online banking, online billpay, Memory Makers travel program, and MCB Financial Services.
